Associate Professor of Economics and Philosophy, Politics, and Economic (PPE). Served as the Coordinator of Economics since the inception of the department. Recently started working as the Chair of two departments : Economics and PPE. Joined AUW on July 01, 2010. Prior to joining AUW, worked at the University of Chittagong as a faculty (first as a lecturer from 1993-1996, then as an Assistant Professor from 1993-2004 and later as an Associate Professor from 2004-2010 in the department of Economics). Earned Ph.D in Economics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and a Masters in Economics from Illinois State University, Normal. Successfully completed a Nine month course in Economics and Quantitative Techniques at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies in 1992. Before that he earned a Masters in Economics and a Bachelor, also in Economics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
