Successful AUW Mentorship Program (Cohort 2) Kick-Off Event 2017

Sep 28, 2017

Asian University for Women Center for Career Development and International Programs (CDIP) in collaboration with AUW Support Foundation – Singapore successfully launched the 2nd Cohort of the AUW Mentorship Program in a Kick-off Event last September 28, 2017 at the AUW Library Conference Room.

The AUW Mentorship Program (AMP) aims to connect AUW students with talented and inspiring professionals around the globe to help unlock potential and enhance their personal and professional development.

The well-run AMP Kick-off Event paved the way for the matched 27 pairs to virtually meet and introduce. Together with this cohort, 4 other pairs were in partnership with Marriott International to complete a total of 31 pairs of mentors and mentees for AMP Cohort 2. Mentors based out in Singapore, USA, Malaysia, China and The UK have been leaders in their various fields that include technology, financial services, consulting, healthcare, education, non-profit, consumer goods and entrepreneurial ventures among others. On the other hand, the mentees are AUW students from 16 different countries studying in Economics, Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE), Public Health and Environmental Science.

Here are just some of the aforementioned inspiring mentors:

Apart from the exciting introductions between mentors and mentees, two students from the pioneer cohort of AMP shared their personal testimonial and enriching experiences detailing the benefits of being involved in a mentorship program.

CDIP thanks everyone who has been involved in the AMP from the program inception in December 2016. Appreciation also goes to the venue and logistics assistance provided by the Milken Institute in Singapore to AUWSF Singapore team and Singapore-based mentors.
