AUW Center for Career Development and International Programs (CDIP) organized the ‘Info Session by Stamford International University, Thailand’ on 27th September in the University TALE space with the participation of 57 students. The session, with an aim to provide information about application procedure for the Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A) program on the Thailand campus, was facilitated by Mr. Karl Sebastian Henriksson, Senior Manager, International Admissions and Ms. Shammee Akter, Counselor, International Admissions. Mr. Henriksson opened the session by presenting an introductory video about Stamford that shed light on the University academic life and social life in Bangkok.
Ms. Akter then shared her personal experience about living in Bangkok, focusing on its cultural diversity, exquisite cuisine, and safety for women.
Mr. Henriksson continued with his presentation on the M.B.A program at the University, and how its affordability, quality of education, and employability options makes it a good choice for students. He further emphasized on faculty diversity and classroom learning based on interactions and knowledge sharing.
Towards the end of the session, the students posed questions on scholarships, whether it is possible to pursue an MBA with an unrelated major at AUW, and possibility of exchange programs with Stamford. The session concluded with Mr. Henriksson addressing the queries and inviting the students for a campus visit to Stamford.
