Position: Junior Instructor in Access Academy
Access Academy, the flagship program of Asian University for Women (AUW), is an intensive, year-long, pre-undergraduate program.  Access students embark on a journey that prepares them for admission to a rigorous, American-style liberal arts undergraduate curriculum, with a focus on scholarship, service, and leadership.

The main focus of the academic curriculum is to foster English communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and develop strategies for life-long learning. Access Academy courses build students’ skills in core competencies such as academic English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking,) world history and geography, and mathematics.

We are currently accepting applications for Junior Instructors, with positions in the following courses:

  • Language and Composition
  • Reading Across Disciplines
  • World Civilizations
  • Integrated Science

Ideal candidates possess Master’s degrees in a field related to the course for which they are applying, some international work or travel experience, and a desire for a career in international education.  We especially encourage candidates who are familiar with American-style liberal arts education and multicultural learning environments. Junior Instructors are paired with a full-time faculty member, under whom they will learn to teach the course, implement the objectives of the current curriculum, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Access Academy program. Junior Instructors teach a reduced load and receive ongoing professional development.
